标准界面
UNIX操作系统下,在工程平台中应用了工业中标准的图形用户界面Motif。组态画面的显示和应用均为标准化,这样工程组态就变得非常简便。

工程操作简便
在图形组态、控制图组态和逻辑图组态中,使用鼠标绘制控件,在可视环境中设定属性,而且可以从预置的字符串、值或FIF(空框架)中选择组态设定。
并行作业
为了进行高效的工程作业,可以实现多个EWS连接一个系统数据库。每个数据库的独占访问杜绝了双重修改。
可视化测试功能
在EWS上搭建FCS(Field Control Station 现场控制站)。可以在这种测试环境下测试FCS的控制功能以及HMI的操作监.视功能。这样可以在没有FCS硬件的情况下进行调试,还可以进行部分应用测试,大大缩短了工程的时间。在系统扩展与改动时,还可以在不影响工厂运行的情况下对操作进行测试和确认。
在线维护
无需停止FCS即可修改FCS应用软件,而且不会对变更部分以外的控制功能产生影响。此外,ICS还可以在线反映变更状况。
